Pan’Artisan’s Focaccia Romana and range of Tascas achieve ‘Approved Product’ status from The Craft Guild of Chefs

bread01Pan’Artisan’s celebrated Italian flat bread, the Focaccia Romana, has been awarded the ‘Approved Product’ accolade along with its range of Tasca bread pockets.

A panel of highly regarded industry chefs, appointed by the Craft Guild, put the products through a series of rigorous performance tests to determine their suitability, quality and overall product excellence; the resulting ‘Approved Product’ status serves to promote confidence in these products for chefs and consumers alike.

The Focaccia Romana is created from simple dough, with a 92% liquid to flour ratio, which produces an extremely light, open structured bread that is easily digestible and stays fresher for longer. During its production it undergoes many stages of hand-crafting as the dough is too difficult to be handled by machine, before it is rested and proved. This results in a product, which captures all of the features of classic, Italian bread, which is available part-baked and frozen for the ultimate in convenience.

The panel of chefs were extremely impressed with the overall quality and finish of the Focaccia Romana, which was reflected in the range of bread02comments;

“This product tasted as good as it looked, I love the rustic homemade appearance”, “I found the product to be very versatile, using as a pizza or topped flatbread base was the obvious use, but it also worked well when cut as breadsticks or as a sandwich bread and warm wrap” and “The uniqueness of the Focaccia Romana is its practicality and diversity and the homemade appearance gives it a good point of difference.”

Pan’Artisan also celebrates success with its popular Tasca bread pocket range, which are now available in a 75g format to meet customer and consumer demands for snacking and lighter lunch options – just right for the grab and go sector.

The Craft Guild’s panel of testers found the Tascas to be

“an extremely versatile product that can be used in a multitude of ways, great toasted, baked and grilled”, “Easy to use and as it’s fully baked it offers a time saving advantage, the quality is very good.”

For the ultimate in convenience, Pan’Artisan’s Tascas present the operator with a simple to use product. These fully baked, folded, soft bread pockets are a perfect for choice for a quick and easy sandwich with a difference. The new individual 75g portion size means they are great for waste control and they couldn’t be simpler to use; just thaw, fill and serve, either cold or warmed, in an oven or toasted on a Panini grill at 160°C for just 90 seconds because, unlike Panini, Tascas are fully baked. The range is available in the following varieties; Plain White, Red Onion, Caesar, Sour Dough, Italian Herbs and Multi-seed.
